Lindsey Iacovino and Sherry Will are organizing Vale Club's first subgroup dedicated to playing American style mahjongg!
We are going to start with members who already know how to play and once that group is successfully up and running, Lindsey will teach a series of classes for beginners.
Our intention is to play weekly. The group will build a roster of enough players that we can play two tables every week, and still have a few members in reserve, on a sub list. Once the schedule is published, you will be responsible for finding a substitute if you can't make it. Depending on your personal schedule, you should expect to play at least twice a month.
We will play at the Schoolhouse on Monday afternoons at 2:00, beginning from August 29. The first session will be for everyone who signs up and if needed, will included some refresher instructions for those who have not played in a while.
For the time being, to keep things simple, everyone should bring their own beverages and perhaps a small snack to share. Depending on member preferences, once we are rolling, we can get a little more creative with the refreshment situation.
