Soldier Day

SOLDIER CARE PACKAGE DAY – March 24th

Please join us on March 24th - there are lots of fun things to do: creating cards and writing notes to soldiers (Darea will provide sample designs for the note cards), organizing and repackaging all the goodies you and others have donated for the soldiers or packing the boxes that will be shipped.  We appreciate any time that you can spare.  A little help goes a long way. Thankfully the war is winding down but the soldiers still need our support!

How to donate goodies:
1) You can shop (see list of suggested items below).  HINT:  Your money goes a long way at The Chantilly Dollar Store and Wal Mart.  They have tuna/salmon in a bag, healthy snacks, hygiene items, Sudoku & puzzle books and much more. Costco carries a large number of snacks, too. Just remember when we repackage everything, the items need to fit into a sandwich size baggie so think size and weight when making your selections.
You can drop off your donations at the next two meetings on Tuesday, February 14th and/or March 14th,, at either of our homes prior to March 20th or at the schoolhouse on March 25th.

2) We can shop for you - be sure to give your donation to Sharon or Patti by March 16th.

If you have a loved one you would like us to send a package to, please contact Patti at patti@tpic.com by March 14th.
