Come join Vale Club's morning bookclub. The Morning Book Club meets every third Tuesday of the month at 10a.m. to discuss a variety of interesting books. We choose from among classics, fiction, non-fiction, biography, memoir, etc. We try very hard to make our selections easily available at the public library, or by paperback.
Our June discussion will be on June 16th: “Tattoos on the Heart” by Gregory Boyle
For twenty years, Gregory Boyle has run Homeboy Industries, a gang-intervention program located in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, the gang capital of the world. In Tattoos on the Heart, he distills his experience working in the ghetto into a breathtaking series of parables inspired by faith.
All Vale Club members are invited to attend our lively meetings which take place at the home of one of our members. We keep a subgroup email list to remind people of dates, times, titles and any changes that might happen. If you are not on that list and would like to be added please email ramonabrandt@cox.net or mary.colombi@gmail.com or kelly.carol@gmail.co
Hope to see you all!
